Source Design Services is a Kier Design Services group business specifically working in and around major utility projects for a combination of public and private sectors clients. The company is proud of its talented diverse team and the breadth of project work undertaken on nationally important engineering and construction projects. Client: Kier Website: sourcedesignservices.co.uk Services: Website and Strategy Approach Medicine Man was responsible for the creation and development of the original Source Design Services (SDS) brand identity, website and project case history portfolio. Following a review by the snr SDS team it was felt that the current website did not reflect the growth and development of the business over the past five years, or the increase in a broader skilled more varied workforce. Medicine Man reviewed leading businesses within the engineering and contracting consulting sectors to determine the best way to achieve a standout design accompanied by the appropriate tone of voice and visual language to raise the company’s profile. The key objective for the project was to create a sense of energy and dynamism within the website to reflect the talents and capabilities of the company to potential clients and engage prospective employees considering joining the business. The website was designed to ‘punch out’ case histories and the scale of exceptional landmark projects using video footage wherever possible to engage a variety of audiences across a range of media channels. Results The new website sits within the main Kier business website providing a prominent access point to the greater Kier business and external clients alike. The new SDS website has proved to be an excellent business capability credential vehicle for both clients – existing and potential, as well as a recruitment tool portraying the breadth and scope of the SDS company.
